Sheep lifes, gouache, acrylics and sheep wool on clothes, 2022

Sheep lives is a collection of clothes that thematizes the production processes and the lives behind each piece. The garments are made from second-hand clothing, reworked with acrylic, gouache and sheep‘s wool. For instance, a woolen suit is the basis for cultivating an affective relationship with sheep. The link between the woolen suit and its animal origins reveals the biography of each piece of clothing we wear. The flower dress is a cotton dress painted with cotton fields. The last work is a patchwork of clothes reworked with gouache or oil paint, again depicting cotton fields populated by different species. The first piece is made from worn clothing and sheep‘s wool, intended to make the wearer empathise with sheep. In general, linking fabrics back to their animal or plant origins changes the value of a piece.
