Narrations – desire, each 13x13cm, woodcut printed on rice paper, 2022
The work series Narrations-desire is an exploration of ways to approach more-than-humans, this time through love, desire and sexuality. It is inspired by the Ecosex manifesto, launched by Annie Sprinkle and Beth Stephens.
Note:
While demonstrating that humans can form affective relationships with insects is an important aspect of my research, these representations might be overly sensual and fail to depict a mutually joyful encounter. Ultimately, when viewed from a perspective that prioritizes representation to foster respectful encouters with these beings, this type of imagery does not align with that intention.
